Active participation of EmbryoClinic at the seminar of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of Thessaloniki on the hot topic of low birth rate in Greece.
Low birth rate is one of the most serious issues that affect our modern society, with Greece unfortunately having one of the most alarmingly low birth rates in Europe. EmbryoClinic not only endorsed, but also participated in this scientific event, organized by the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of Thessaloniki, focusing on the contribution of infertility to the problem.
Infertility is only one of many facets of the complicated issues of low birth rates. During the seminar, the role of Assisted Reproduction in combatting the issue and potential measures and legislation changes to facilitate access and support couples seeking ART in Greece were thoroughly discussed. EmbryoClinic’s point of view was supported by our Medical Director, Dr. Elias Tsakos. Event participants also included other Reproductive Specialists, Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, Psychologists, Epidemiologists, local and national political leaders, journalists and the public.
